Senior Supply Chain Manager (m/w/d)

Your Mission

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy to support the growth of our hardware product.
  • You will understand the in-house assembly process of a wearable product and translate those needs into manufacturing requirements for our suppliers, matching them against our suppliers’ capabilities.
  • Working with internal designers and suppliers to improve component design, reduce manufacturing risks, and close capability gaps.
  • You steer tooling availability, equipment readiness, and process qualification at suppliers to enable the initial production of new components on time.
  • You will work with the supplier to decide on technical solutions to gradually automatize production and help ramp up high-volume production lines.
  • Identify and onboard reliable suppliers, negotiate favorable terms and conditions, and establish strong relationships to ensure consistent product quality and on-time delivery.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing carrying costs and ensuring a smooth flow of materials.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, manufacturing, and sales, to align supply chain activities with business objectives and timelines.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Mitigate risks associated with supply chain operations, such as disruptions, delays, and quality issues, by implementing effective contingency plans and fostering proactive communication.
  • Help in the development process of the enterprise resource planning systems by bringing invaluable expertise.
  • Potential to develop into a Team Lead role through demonstrated performance and leadership capabilities.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar fields.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain management, preferably within the hardware or technology industry.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, practices, and tools, including sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Experience in building and managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and conducting supplier performance evaluations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute supply chain strategies in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • A self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a startup environment with minimal supervision.
